Random Thoughts from a Wedding....
Text and Photos by Ish Fabicon

It was white and cold Saturday evening around St. Paul Hellenic Banquet Center, Independence, Ohio. The wedding reception was attended by more than 400 invited guests. Cocktails at 6pm; dinner at 7pm; introduction of the wedding entourage, then the entrance of groom and bride, now husband and wife. The applause burst; the smiles warmed; the dancing began….

But I took pictures of those who won't remember much less appreciate the bonding of men and women…one cold day in Ohio.

The three year old identical twins: Monette and Michelle. "Hi, there, give me a five." And they looked at me sheepishly and turned their faces away. They ran into the dance floor and hopped and jumped for joy.

"My name's Lolo Ish. How are you? " Marcos took my hand and let it touch his forehead.

Marlo with daddy Austin.. Who cares? She was all sleep undmindful of the music.
She only knows the milk bottle and the warmth of her Mom and Dad.

Conner with Mom Maryanne…Don't let his sleeping fool you. Less than a year old,
he kicks and flexes his muscles with Irish bravado ….

Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Michelle Fontanilla Poole….The kiss of joy!
Postcript:

I am no stranger now.
Love blooms in the fingers
of a child!
and,
The stir of war
was lost in the name
of peace,
One cold night in Ohio.
